A CLUTCH of Bury companies will be flying the flag for the borough at a glittering awards dinner a week today (Fri Oct 12).
They are among 100 entries across the 15 categories in the Bolton and Bury Business Awards 2001.
A total of £41,000 in prize money is up for grabs at the Bolton Business Ventures-organised event at the Reebok Stadium.
The all-important results will be announced at the popular awards presentation dinner next Friday.
Local businesses Garic Plant Hire, James Halstead and Whitefield Fabrications all compete in the Company of the Year category.
Garic Plant, Whitefield Fabrications, Sheridan Spa and Bury-based Flexsys (UK) all compete in the first-ever Best Performing Bury Business section.
Whitefield Fabrications are among firms listed in the Growth Business of the Year category while Sheridan Spa is in the running for the Woman in Business Award.
