DARWEN manager Steve Wilkes takes his players to Holker Old Boys in the Worthington Challenge Trophy tomorrow - and then on to a pub to watch the England game!
"Hopefully we can get the right result and then go on and see an England victory," he said.
"This is an important competition because it is one we can win. A Second Division side won it last year, Formby, so it can be done.
"We have just been knocked out of two competitions (FA Vase and FA Cup) so we don't want to be knocked out of a third by the end of October."
Mark Heys (hamstring) and Andy Walsh (Achilles) are both 50-50 chances and are unlikely to play and Matt Atkinson still has four weeks to serve on his suspension.
