IT has come to my knowledge from a very reliable source that the St John's Market in Blackpool is to be coverted into a hostel to accommodate the influx of police etc who come to the town to police the conferences etc.
I have strong reason to believe this is true because copious amounts of building materials have been delivered there.
Surely this building, the subject of considerable controversy of late, was part of the town centre development area? Where does a hostel come into this plan?
Is this another subversive plan by the town hall along with all the other closed-door dealings that go on all the time. I think the ratepayers have a right to know.
