ACCRINGTON Stanley midfielder Brett Baxter has signed for Nationwide Conference outfit Chester City.
Baxter, who played a leading role in the Reds' successful UniBond First Division promotion campaign 18 months ago, has struggled to hold down a regular starting place at the Crown Ground this term.
He is the second player to leave Stanley in a matter of days after Gary Williams signed for Southport on loan.
Fellow midfielder Paul Burns is also mulling over a move to Rossendale while he recovers from injury.
