SECONDARY school pupils in Rishton will try their hands in the world of business, courtesy of the government's Young Enterprise competition.
The 21 youngsters from Norden High School, Stourton Street, have already formed their company 'Smart Remarks', which will design and produce greetings cards.
They will take on eight other schools in the region, with the winner going on to regional finals and then the grand finals, probably to be held in London.
Their first port of call will be a training day at the Globe Centre, Accrington, tomorrow, where the fledgling company directors will be taught how to run a business.
Teachers from the school and product managers from Gaskell Carpet Tiles, Clayton-le-Moors, and Blackburn company Rawden Kerr will also be on hand to offer help and advice.
Norden teacher and business link co-ordinator Kay Mercer said: "The pupils will learn the highs and lows of running a business. They will also be able to use these skills when they start looking for jobs and it is excellent preparation."
