A THEATRE group from Huddersfield raised the roof as the drinkers raised their glasses at a Clayton-le-Moors pub.
Actors from Mikron Theatre Group put on a first class show with their performance of Warehouse Hill at the Albion Ale House, Whalley Road, last Wednesday.
This play was the second visit by the entourage and landlord John Burke, pictured with musician Tracey Holderness, was so impressed that he has already booked them for next year.
The tongue-in-cheek comedy focused on the history and use of the Huddersfield Tunnel from the mid 1700s to the present day with the costumes changing to reflect the eras.
But the highlight of the show was an hilarious scene in the mortuary with a drunken reveller attempting conversation with a deceased flood victim after the river had burst its banks.
Mikron will perform their previous success observing last year's petrol crisis at Foulridge village hall on October 24.
