BURY ten-pin bowlers will be hoping to hit the target for charity this month.
The Megabowl at Pilsworth, which has been undergoing a £1 million refurbishment, will be taking part in a Penny-a-pinathon to raise money for Child of Achievement and more than 50 Megabowl centres throughout the country will be involved.
Starting on October 22 and running throughout the school half-term holiday, every pin that falls can raise money for charity.
Megabowl bosses have agreed to donate a penny for every point scored, aiming for a total score of one million pennies -- that's £10,000.
General manager Mr Paul Sims said: "Every child who bowls can fill in a Penny-a-pinathon scorecard and hand it in at the reception.
"We'll add up the total scores and keep our fingers crossed that Bury does its bit to help reach the million penny total."
