YOUNG book fans had a "wizard" time at a special Harry Potter party held at Prestwich Library.
Organised to coincide with National Children's Book Week, the event featured games, quizzes and activities based on the top children's series of stories.
And as the Harry Potter film is set to hit the cinema screens this autumn, library staff thought it would be an ideal chance to remind youngsters that the books are still as popular.
Pictured engrossed in the book is Emma Geraghty (9), who lives in Prestwich.
Assistant librarian Margaret Vince said: "The children that came along all dressed up as their favourite characters from the books, including wizards, witches and Harry Potter himself. And so did the staff! They had a great time.
"Harry Potter books are just one of those phenomenons that have caught the imagination of children. They are excellent."
