CARLETON 'A' were held to a 5-5 draw by St Annes YMCA 'A' in the Premier Division of the Lytham St Annes and District Table Tennis League, but remain one point ahead of their opponents at the top of the table.
A further one point behind, in third place, are Prebond 'A' after their 8-2 victory over St Thomas Church 'A'.
Taking all ten points from Ansdell Arena 'D', Lytham Ex Service 'B' -- three victories from three games -- head the First Division early in the season by a margin of six points from AXA Guardian 'A' who gained a good 7-3 victory over their 'B' team.
A close battle for the Second Division is in the making, as only two points separate the top three teams. A 7-3 win over Ansdell Arena 'B' enabled them to clinch top spot, with Lytham Ex Service 'B' -- 7-3 victors over Rotary Club of Lytham -- in second place. The third-placed position goes to AXA Guardian 'D' team after struggling to a 6-4 victory over their 'C' team.
