JOHN "Boy" Walton, the Embassy World Darts Champion, and Trina Gulliver, the first-ever Embassy Women's World Champion, have again joined forces as the Embassy World Darts Roadshow continues its 20-night UK tour in Cleveleys on October 17.
As well as winning their Embassy world titles in brilliant style earlier this year, John "Boy" and Trina are also both No. 1 in the world rankings.
The latest tour arrives at Cleveleys Royal British Legion Club, Roughlea Road, on Wednesday, October 17, at 8pm. Completing the star-studded Roadshow team will be Embassy's man in charge, Tony Green, the Roadshow compere and BBC TV's top commentator who is famous for that never-to-be-forgotton "One hundred and eighteee" catchphrase!
Each Roadshow evening starts with John Walton and Trina Gulliver taking on a number of local players in a thrilling display of world-class darts.
Then it's time for the Embassy Bullseye Challenge where local contestant battle for points and prizes with one player answering questions and his or her partner throwing the darts. And there will be also the exciting Prize Game Board with prizes up for grabs. Tony Green added: "The local Leagues have once again shown tremendous interest in this Roadshow Tour and that guarantees we will have a number of pub or club champions at each of the 20 venues, all ready to try and win some super prizes."
Derek Higham, chairman of the Cleveleys Royal British Legion Club, says: "Everyone is looking forward to the Roadshow coming to the club. To have two world champions in action is a tremendous bonus for all local darts enthusiasts, while Tony Green is one of the sport's great characters. It's going to be a great night out."
Tickets are available to members and bone-fide guests. For more information call (01253) 853822. The Roadshow is being run in conjunction with the Cleveleys Ladies Darts League.
