BURY Council is tackling a web of intrigue by explaining the workings of e-mails and the wonders of the internet.
Bury's Metronet Week is being held at libraries throughout the borough, starting on Monday (Oct 15) to give people a taste of the latest technology which they might not have got to grips with.
A series of free sessions, aimed at all ages, will be staged on the Internet throughout the week.
Bury Council's Arts and Culture Spokesman, Councillor Siobhan Costello, said: "Our local libraries are always willing to offer a helping hand to anyone interested in finding out more about computers and how to use them.
"Metronet Week though is specifically intended to focus on everything high-tech and is a wonderful opportunity for those who have thought about having a go but never done anything about it." She added: "People will be able to set up their own e-mail address and learn how to send and receive messages."
