THIRTY-SIX new magistrates from East Lancashire are among the 99 appointed by the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster.
New magistrates to the Lancashire Commission for Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale are: Mr Vishnoo Addingadoo, a nursing lecturer from Hasligden; Mr David John Ball, a building society team manager from Burnley; Mrs Susanne Barnes, a biomedical scientist from Brierfield; Mrs Maureen Bradley, a district nursing sister from Cliviger; Mrs Barbara Gillian, a physiotherapist from Waterfoot; Mrs Samina Hussain, an outreach worker from Haslingden; Mr Graham McGlynn, a senior meter operative for United Utilities from Burnley; Mrs Oxana Metiuk, a free-lance training consultant from Rawtenstall; Mr Abdulkader Padia, a commercial pilot from Nelson; Mr Thomas John Picton, a management consultant from Burnley; Commodore Norman David Squire, a retired member of the Royal Fleet Auxiliary and Mr Robert Stansfield, a general secretary for the National Federation of Retirement Pensions Associations from Burnley.
Blackburn, Darwen and Ribble Valley are: Mr John Martin Ashcroft, a senior lecturer from Blackburn; Mr Stephen John Brogden, an airline pilot from Billington; Mr Peter Dawson, a retired fitter at BAe from Blackburn; Miss Kathleen Margaret Hargreaves, a part-time purchasing officer from Clitheroe; Mrs Nasreen Hassan, a youth and community worker/centre manager from Blackburn; Mr Suleman Khonat, a newsagent from Blackburn; Mr Ian James McDougall, a college lecturer from Blackburn; Mr Ayaz Mahmood, a community advice officer at Hyndburn Borough Council from Blackburn; Mr David Leslie Rayner, a part-time mechanic/cycle shop assistant from Clitheroe; Mr Frank Robinson, a self-employed -- management training strategy and assessment, also employed as census district manager for Blackburn (NE) from Blackburn; Mrs Angela Margaret Talbot, a primary school teacher from Whalley; Mr Michael James Thomas, a retired former manager at BAe from Ribchester.
Hyndburn: Mrs Pauline Joyce Gregory, a support services manager, NHS Trust from Accrington; Mr Nafis Iqbal, a mental health social worker from Accrington; Mrs Kathleen Jones, a retired teacher from Accrington; Mr John Francis Mullen, a workforce development adviser from Oswaldtwistle; Mr Christopher Paul Wright, a manufacturing team manager from Philips Components from Clayton-le-Moors.
Preston: Mrs Patricia Ann Ray, a retired bank manager from Chorley.
Chorley: Mr Kenneth William Ball, a self-employed garage owner from Coppull; Mr Anthony John Callander, a director of Human Resources at Preston College from Chorley; Mrs Jeanne Kenyon, Head of Traveller Education Service from Heskin; Mr Kenneth MacDonald, a retired former regional director, Ministry of Defence and Royal Ordnance from Chorley; Mr John Rothwell, retired from Eccleston; Mrs Jean Anne Walker, a part-time study support tutor at Runshaw College from Chorley; Mr Terence Whitehead, a managing consultant with BAe from Hoghton.
