A MYSTERY woman scooped a national bingo jackpot of over £200,000 in only her fourth visit to Shipley's Club in Leigh.
On Sunday night the 27-year-old mother of three, who wants to remain anonymous, won both the national and regional prizes at the Windermere Road bingo club. The winner who lives in the Leigh area with her husband, who works as a labourer, visited the club with a friend.
She won the national bingo prize of £200,000 plus an extra £5,173 regional award and a £132 club bonus after completing a full house in 44 numbers.
The winnings of £205,305 was the highest amount anyone has ever won at the Leigh club which opened six years ago.
Still in shock the delighted winner said: "I had no sleep at all after the win. I just can't get my head round it. I don't think I will really believe it until I see the cheque in my hand!"
Club controller Paul Sale said: "Its absolutely brilliant. Tickets are only 50p each, so to win that much money on only her third or fourth visit is amazing."
