US jets today blitzed Afghanistan capital Kabul and the eastern city of Jalalabad.
The dawn raids marked the start of a second week of military strikes against the Taliban and terrorist training camps.
A new international telephone exchange in Kabul was destroyed by US jets as Taliban gunners responded with heavy anti-aircraft fire.
In Jalalabad, powerful explosions rocked the city as a jet streaked across the sky and dropped at least three bombs.
The Taliban's southern stronghold of Kandahar was also targeted by US warplanes during overnight raids.
It's claimed air strikes over the weekend killed 12 Afghans and injured at least 32 in Qala-i-nau, capital of the northern Bagdus province.
