COLNE raced into a 4-1 lead at half time but only after being let off the hook by old boy Julian Dowe who hit the post and missed another fine opening in the early stages.
Paul Files opened the scoring and Gavin Cooper scored from a free-kick. Dowe pulled one back for Oldham but Chris Ingham, with his third goal in as many matches, restored the Colne advantage with a near post header.
Player-boss John Lister scored the goal of the game with a bullet head and early in the second half Callon got on the scoresheet.
Colne are now unbeaten in three games and they entertain Holker Old Boys on Wednesday.
RESULT: COLNE...5 OLDHAM TOWN...1
