CLITHEROE produced one of their best performances of the season to go top of the North West Counties League Division One.
But player-boss Lee Sculpher isn't worrying about league positions at this stage of the season.
"I just want us to try and keep this run going," said the man who has yet to taste defeat since taking charge at Shawbridge. "In the last 11 games we have picked up 28 points, with nine wins, one draw and one defeat.
"If we can do that every 11 games I'll be more than happy."
Sculpher was delighted with the three points over a Winsford side he described as one of the best Clitheroe have faced this season. "They won't be far away at the end of the season."
The Clitheroe display was helped by an early goal. They went ahead after just three minutes when Neil Reynolds got on the end of a Stuart Todhunter free-kick.
After 30 minutes Sculpher's men doubled their advantage from another Todhunter free kick. This time Mark Stewart got on the end of it and side-footed the ball home.
The points were made save seven minutes after the restart when Reynolds hit a stunning 25-yard volley home.
With 20 minutes left Clitheroe conceded a penalty and Danny Worthington scored from the spot but it proved to be just a consolation.
RESULT: CLITHEROE...3 WINSFORD...1
Clitheroe visit Curzon Ashton tonight.
