TEACHERS may be good at "the three Rs" in the classroom but they are struggling when it comes to just one "R".
For a high proportion of new members seeking romance at the UK's largest introduction agency are from the teaching profession.
Tina Wallace, sales director of Avenues, says she believes today's teachers frequently work long hours and have less time to meet new people to date.
"Current teacher members tell us that increases in workload, coupled with growing class sizes, have resulted in a group of very stressed individuals, regularly working long days and at weekend," she said. "This leaves them less time to socialise."
"They specifically request non-teachers as potential dates," she added.
