AN international businessman has died in a road accident while working in Spain.
Car enthusiast Mobin Ahmed, from Bury, was killed when the sports convertible he was driving overturned last Monday evening (Oct 8), two days before he was due to return home after travelling to the country on a business trip.
Spanish police are investigating the accident. It is understood no other vehicle was involved.
Mr Ahmed's body was flown back on Thursday (Oct 11, accompanied by his eldest sister, Rozina (29).
Mr Ahmed (26), one of six siblings, was a pupil at Castlebrook High School and Bury College. He graduated with a business and finance degree from the University of London while setting up an international prestige vehicle hire company, which was often used by celebrities.
His father, Mr Hajji Nazir Ahmed, of Meadway, Bury, said: "My son always loved cars, his business was in cars and he had just bought me a Mercedes.
"He was very well known and helped whoever he could. The community is so shocked. He will be missed by a lot of people."
He added: "Mobin always lived life to the full and achieved so much at a young age. At the same time he was a family person and kept in touch whenever he was away on business."
