BLACKBURN Hawks cruised to a second league win, defeating English National Ice Hockey League rookies Birmingham on their own rink.
The Hawks continued their recent good form to overwhelm the Rockets, emerging comfortable winners by four goals to one.
"It wasn't that easy," said Hawks' player-coach Bobby Haig. "Their goalkeeper played out of his skin and made it tough.
"We had never played there before which also causes problems. But I'm delighted with the win, we are definitely getting better with every game."
Birmingham, who only joined the League this season, have been stunned by the loss of four players recently. Their defection has clearly disrupted the squad, but the Hawks still faced a tough challenge.
"They were very physical and difficult to break down," said Haig. "But that makes the win sweeter."
The Hawks triumphed with goals from Haig, Craig Sharman and Mark McDonald (2).
Blackburn Ice Hawks U19B followed last week's 6-2 away win at Grimsby with a 10-0 drubbing of Birmingham Rockets U19s at the Arena.
Rookie Ben Pepper-proctor led from the front with a personal tally of six gaols, supported by Matt Othick (2), Craig Ainscough and Liam Salt.
RESULT: B'HAM ROCKETS...1 BLACKBURN HAWKS...4
