A 20-YEAR-OLD man who supplied drugs to undercover police officers has been sentenced to three years youth custody.
Preston Crown court was told during April and May this year Operation Hurricane was set up to target street-level dealers in the Blackburn area.
Blackburn man Anthony Khan, who has now moved to Dickson Road, Blackpool, pleaded guilty to supplying heroin and crack cocaine on May 4 this year.
Mr Neil Standage, prosecuting, said the operation involved the use of covert cameras and audio equipment.
Mr Richard Hunt, defending, said the offences had taken place in Blackburn.
He said Khan moved to Blackpool "to get away from friends and acqaintances who were leading him to these ways." Khan had pleaded guilty.
Judge David Boulton said:"You were part of a massive operation targeting drug supply in the Blackburn area and you were caught with the clearest of evidence.
"You pleaded guilty at the first available opportunity and must be given massive discount for that. The tariff sentence on a guilty plea should be four years. I will discount that again because of your admission and plea at the first available opportunity."
He added:"I hope that you are right and that you will remain drug-free."
