FUND-RAISING got a good kick-off at one Blackpool school when staff and students donned their favourite football strip for charity.
Pupils and teachers at St George's High school, Cherry Tree Road, paid up to £2 to wear their favourite team's colours for the day, to raise money for national charity Shelter.
The one-day event also included a penalty competition, sports quiz and a staff versus pupils after-school match.
The event, dubbed "Strip for Shelter", raised £471, and was hailed "a great success" by organiser Jim Clayton, head of Year 11.
