I AM a cleaner at Lancaster University, where I have worked for quite a few years now.
I would like to put the record straight about students. I work cleaning for the students of the residential blocks.
All the years I have worked at the university I have found the students to be a really nice bunch of kids.
OK you might get the odd one who isn't, but don't you get that in any society? Yes they do go out and enjoy themselves, but didn't we all when we were kids or is it that you've forgotten what it's like to be young?
The students bring a lot of jobs into our community and spend a great deal of money in the area.
Most of these people find themselves away from home for the first time in their lives, and one thing they don't need is hostility from the local community.
So please give these kids a chance and help them get on with their lives, not blame them for everything that goes wrong in the area.
