LANCASTER City twice came from behind to secure a well deserved point in the game against Droylsden.
The Dolly Blues lost their share of the top of the table, but still maintained the chance to go top if they win their game in hand, as well as their unbeaten record.
Carl Holmes opened the scoring for the Greater Manchester club five minutes before half time.
However, City were able to level the scores through the prolific Andy Whittaker just before the referee's whistle, with the big striker heading home a cross from the always dangerous Colin Potts.
The useful Holmes again broke the deadlock on 53 minutes, combining trickery and power for a good goal.
It was Whittaker's turn again 10 minutes later. Again, it started with a cross from Potts and, when Paul Phillips pushed Whittaker's initial shot wide, Welch carved out another chance which the former Bamber Bridge man gratefully accepted.
