Leyland Warriors U8s 20 Foley Lane Manchester 20 THREE tries from Man of the Match Danny McLean. Most improved player Matthew Vincent scored one try. Warriors defence was yet again strong. Good performances from Harvey May who scored a try and top tackler Billy Saundry had a great game.
Leyland Warriors U9s 20 Ryland Sharks 4 MAN of the Match Paul 'Bull' Haydock later dived onto a loose ball to give Warriors possession. Sam 'Dallas' Singleton during another phase tackled an unlucky Shark player in goal giving more possession. Combining this with top tackler Ryan 'Rhino' Millyard and good handling led to five tries being run in and only one in reply.
Ryland Sharks U12s 30 Leyland Warriors 0 LINDEN Dixon worked hard while Liam Baxter was Man of the Match with Ryan Johnstone, Michael Cunningham and Steve Pilkington all showing improvement in their games.
Oldham St Annes U13s 34 Leyland Warriors 4 LEYLAND competed well for the first half, against relentless attacks with only ten points in it at the break. In the second half Oldham proved too strong but Leyland, did manage a consolation try through Richard Brown. Man of the Match was Dane Leyland Jones (led by example). Top tackler was Luke Towart.
Leyland Warriors U16s 0 Pendle Panthers 30 LUCK was against Warriors and despite good play they could not get the ball over the line. Injuries in the second half didn't help. Good strong tackling from top tackler Shaun Lambert. Man of the match went to Stuart Brown and runner-up was Andrew Rhodes.
Leyland Warriors U18s 22 Foley Lane 4 OUTSTANDING Leyland took command in the first half going in 14-4 at the turn. In the second half Foley Lane came back well but could not breach Warriors defensive line. Man of the Match, with a hat trick of tries was Anthony Hughes. Top tackler was Paul Lorenzen and the other try came from Jonathan Tuson.
