AT a time when more cars are stolen than ever before it would seem that the tyre industry want to make up the shortfall by a purge on the cars that haven't been pinched.
The Wood Pit and Lyme pit site is the place for the police to be doing car checks. Over a hundred cars have been stolen and raced to death and fired and weighed in to keep the track clear in the past two years.
Just think of your insurance fees - yes it is passed on to us all and I would hazard a guess of possibly a couple of a million pounds over three years. A question I would like to ask all and sundry is when was the last time a cyclist was fined for having no lights or even riding on the pavement?
Lets face it; if the motorist is made extinct everyone is out of work, including the police.
Yours as Ever
