BURY'S newest leisure venue played host to an impressive turn-out for the latest meeting of a corporate club.
For the £12 million Village Hotel opened its doors to stage the September meeting of the Bury Business Club.
Members packed the room for the networking meeting which featured Clark Burgan, of Mustard Graphics, Mike Haworth, of Moscrop Robinson and Chadwick, Tony Minshall, of Business Access, and Phil Thompson, of Key Control Services.
They brought members up to date with the latest developments in their businesses.
One of the undoubted high spots of the evening was an extremely entertaining presentation by Mike McNulty, managing director of DTE Insurance Brokers.
He regaled members with the background to setting up his new venture, golfonlinefrance, an Internet golf holiday booking service.
Members then had an opportunity to tour the hotel and see for themselves the facilities on offer, including a peep behind the scenes at the kitchen and the air-conditioning room.
Bury Business Club is part of Bolton and Bury Chamber and is available free of charge to Bury-based members.
The next meeting is on Thursday, October 25. Further details from Kay Gregson on 01204 374668.
