The NWCL Second Division side knocked Bacup out of the Vase at this stage last year and then went on to beat them in the final of the Second Division Trophy.
Boss Brent Peters wants to see his side get on the glory trail in what is the top competition for North West Counties League clubs.
"I want to see my club get on the glory trail in any competition, even if it is just a local cup competition," said Peters.
"It makes no difference that the FA Vase is a national competition - I'm a winner and I want to win every game."
There is £250 up for grabs for each team that reaches the second round but Peters wants to forget the money aspect of it.
"It is improtant to progress for a lot of reasons and the extra revenue is one of them but I would never tell my players that they had to go out and win a game because of the money that was involved.
"I expect them to go out and give their all every game.
"I think it is ridiculous when managers get sacked because they lose a game that is worth a lot of money to the club.
"It is just an excuse for chairman to get rid of a manager whose face doesn't fit.
"When we lost to Guisborough by the odd goal, 1-0, in the FA Cup we could have gone on to play Rossendale and it cost the club about £2,000 but when you lose you have to hold your hands up to the opposition.
"Guisborough only scored when the ball came off our keeper and into the path of their striker. These things happen in football."
Jason Lanns is the only new injury worry for Bacup. He could play despite a shin injury.
