I TOTALLY agree that cycle lanes add to safety and that they do tend to slow the traffic.
I am a cyclist, as well as a driver, and I have to ask what happens when a negligent cyclist or perhaps a horse rider on the road collides with a car and causes damage. Who pays? Are cyclists and horse riders insured? No! Surely, they should be.
Who agrees and what can be done?
