WITH Christmas fast approaching, people in Britain will be spending millions of pounds on presents and festive cheer.
But in a country we know nothing about, where residents have suffered for years under a bunch of religious fanatics, suffering has increased as they flee their homes into No Man's Land, with the winter snows approaching and hunger a regular diet.
How many of these poor souls will be alive when this trouble is over?
So in the last few weeks to Christmas, let us all thank God for however little or however much we have got, because the Afghan people have got nothing to look forward to except more misery.
And let us all think of others instead of just ourselves.
