ROVERS manager Graeme Souness is expected to continue his chase for West Bromwich Albion defender Neil Clement this week.
As exclusively revealed in the Lancashire Evening Telegraph last Friday, Souness wants to bring the 23-year-old to Ewood Park but Baggies boss Gary Megson is determined to hang on to the player.
Rovers chief exectuive John Williams would not comment on the Clement situation but confirmed: "Graeme is looking at a number of players."
Meanwhile, Souness was delighted with Saturday's performance at Highbury after Rovers deservedly took a point from a gripping six-goal thriller and he is aware that such a result can only help to make Blackburn look like an attractive club for potential signings to join.
"If you go to Highbury and score three goals you deserve to take something out of the game," said Souness.
"Having said that, I was very unhappy with their second goal because I felt there had been a blatant foul on Lucas Neill just before they scored.
"But we worked hard, fought hard and got a point.
"You've got to give Arsenal credit -- they're a tough team and they caused us lots of problems.
"But no team frightens us in this league and we went down there to give it a go and came away with a superb result."
Once again, England wannabe David Dunn stole the show with two stunning strikes in front of Sven Goran Eriksson.
But the Great Harwood youngster was quick to point out afterwards that he owed his team-mates a late equaliser after carelessly losing possession in the build-up to Arsenal's third goal.
"I hold my hands up for that," said Dunn. "During the game when I did that and we went 3-2 down I suddenly thought to myself 'I best get another goal here otherwise I'll get a rollicking off the gaffer at full-time. So when the ball dropped to me I just swung my swinger and it went in. I thought we deserved it, though."
"We knew what to expect off them. They attack with such pace on the counter it's unbelievable so it was a great result for us to go there and get a draw."
Dunn's two-goal salvo must have impressed the watching Eriksson as he ponders his options ahead of next summer's World Cup. England's next match is at Old Trafford on November 10 when Sweden are the visitors.
But the England Under 21 international has again modestly played down his chances of a call-up.
"You never now -- funny things can happen in football," said Dunn.
"Obviously, that's my aim but there's a lot of good midfielders out there and it's a big leap for me to make right now.
"I'm only a young lad and I'm just learning my trade so to get to the World Cup would be a long shot to say the least.
"I'm just trying to keep my feet on the ground and I'm sure the gaffer will make sure I do that as well."
* Italian striker Ciccio Grabbi missed Saturday's game with a slight hamstring strain.
* Rovers' Academy Under 19's beat Bolton 2-0 at the weekend but Rob Kelly's Under 17s had to settle for a point after a 3-3 draw.
