ALL the goals came in the last five minutes as Bacup crashed out of the FA Vase.

As the tie looked to be heading into extra time Squires Gate took the lead through Lee Catlow.

Bacup manager Brent Peters threw Ian McClelland upfield and it was his pass to Stuart Farnell which led to Bacup's equaliser.

Farnell's header to Nicky Taylor was converted by the forward.

But Squires Gate re-took the lead just seconds later when Mark Beckier sliced a clearance into the path of Bacup's Paul Wane, on the edge of his own area, who tried to bring it down but succeeded only in setting up the Squires Gate forward who rifled home an opportunist goal.

"Squires Gate are one of the best sides in the league," said Peters. "But we were in control and were the better side for parts of the game.

"Karl Stanley was causing them all sorts of problems down the right but he pulled up with a hamstring problem in the first half and had to come off.

"You need an element of luck to win a cup tie and that is what they had."
