NELSON found their best form once again in the FA Vase and came back from the shock of conceding an early goal to clinch victory with a memorable fightback.

The Blues' prospects did not look good when Simon Bailey gave Louth the lead with a well struck shot after six minutes and things looked bleak when Mark Smith limped off injured after 35 minutes to be replaced by the inexperienced Mark Harrison.

The youngster, however, played full part in the game Nelson dominated after the break as they missed a series of chances in front of the home goal.

The breakthrough came on the hour when Barry White headed home the equaliser from a Lee Coldridge cross and the Blues turned up the heat.

Carl Howarth released White with a through ball after 73 minutes and White confidently took it round the keeper before scoring from a narrow angle to give Nelson the lead.

With the Blues in full swing Coldridge once again provided the cross and White completed his hat-trick by firing home at the far post on 82 minutes to seal a superb victory.
