ENGLAND'S Cricket tour of India next month looks certain to go ahead.
Captain Nasser Hussain and his tour party today met Sir Rob Young, the British High Commissioner in New Delhi, to discuss their security concerns.
Following the meeting, England and Wales Cricket Board chairman Lord MacLaurin said there was "no reason" to cancel the tour.
But a number of England stars have voiced doubts about the trip, given the proximity of India to war-torn Afghanistan.
Individual members of the squad will now have until Friday to decide whether to opt out of the trip.
ECB chief executive Tim Lamb said: "We will not be forcing anyone to go on the plane and will not be holding it against them for future selection."
England are due to fly out for the three-Test series in India on November 13.
