A COUNCILLOR has spoken up for boroughs which may be overlooked in the allocation of police resources.
Earcroft resident and ward councillor Mike Barratt made the plea at a police authority community meeting at Darwen Access Point.
He said: "Police resources have to be put in where necessary, but don't neglect other areas as well - there are hot spots in those areas too."
The police should meet more regularly with residents and local representatives, he said.
He added: "At the end of the day a large displacement effect goes on in this business."
Chief Insp Neil Smith, of Blackburn police, said: "It is taken on board - those sort of areas won't be forgotten about."
