A CAR carrying four people careered into a field, causing a road to be closed for nearly three hours early today.
The Renault Clio crashed into a field off Preston New Road, near to Mire Ash Brow, Blackburn, at 2.30am.
Three males were treated at the scene for minor injuries and a fourth male was taken to Blackburn Royal Infirmary with suspected spinal injuries.

The road was re-opened at 5am in time for the morning traffic.
Sergeant Keith Jackson, of the Road Policing Unit, said: "The car failed to negotiate a bend on Preston New Road which caused the driver to loose control of the vehicle and crash into the field.
"We had to close the road off for a couple of hours to investigate the scene."
