A MAN who raided a leisure centre was found eating ice-cream by police.
Abid Ali, 20, who had to have stitches in his leg after smashing his way into Pendle Wavelengths, was bailed until November 19 to live and sleep at Regents Place, Nelson.
He admitted burglary and two counts of failing to surrender and his case was adjourned for a pre-sentence report by Burnley magistrates.
The court was told the defendant, under the influence of alcohol at the time of the burglary, told officers there had been other people with him who had escaped.
He claimed he could remember going to Wavelengths, but not getting in and the next thing he recalled was being at the hospital with police.
