THINGS can get confusing when you have 500 friends - but Sal Southard finds it easy to hop from one to another.
The 48-year-old is so mad about frogs that she has even named her house after the little croakers.
Sal, of Frogs - yes, that's the name of her house! - Primrose Court, Blackburn, has a unique collection of well over 500 spread throughout various rooms in her house.
She first took a shine to the slimy creatures after a receiving a corduroy frog for her 18th birthday present.
Sal, who is known locally as 'froglady' has been collecting the stuffed versions of her four-legged friends ever since and she says her collection will continue to grow.
Sal said: "When I got my first frog they were all the rage and I have just carried on that trend.
"I have them all over my house in every room, I would feel lost if they weren't there for me to look at everyday."
Sal is already making plans for her vast collection of furry frogs for the day that she....croaks!
She said: "I have been worrying about where they all will go when I do eventually die but I have nieces and nephews who I am hoping will take them all together because I would hate it if they had to be spilt up."
Her obsession with frogs will never end, and is something that friends have had to come to live with.
Sal said: "When I have guests at my house they are amazed at what they see, I have to warn them when they go to the toilet because when you lift up the seat there is a frog staring at you which can be rather intimidating."
The biggest ambition that Sal harbours is to visit South America to catch a glimpse of the tree frog in its natural habitat.
She has visited many countries but South America is the ultimate dream if she ever wins the lottery.
She said: "I have been all over searching for frogs, wherever I go I always end up with some sort of frog.
"I went to Hawes In Yorkshire last week on a day trip and I couldn't resist from buying one.
"South America is my biggest ambition, it would be a dream come true to be able to see real tree frogs, because they are my all time favourite species of frog.
"I know that I will probably never end up going because I couldn't afford it.
"They have become an important part of my life, I can't imagine life without them."
