POLICE have renewed their appeal for householders in the Ivinson Road area of Darwen to be extra-vigilant following the fourth burglary this month.
The latest break-in happened on Tuesday between 11am and 4pm when burglars kicked through a back door and took a Bush hi-fi and portable colour TV valued at £450.
DS Ian Critchley, of Darwen CID, said: "We appeal to local residents to be vigilant in relation to securing their properties and shutting windows and locking doors.
"We would also ask people to be aware of people acting suspiciously, especially if they are carrying electrical items.
"If anyone knows who these offenders are they should contact us - these burglaries are definitely creeping up."
Anyone with information should call Darwen police on 701777 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.
