ARCHBISHOP Temple pupils dominated the annual Preston High School Cross Country Championships, winning three team events.
The St. Vincent's Road school from Fulwood enjoyed the success as over 200 pupils competed at Moor Park this week.
It was the second leg following the first set of races at Tulketh High School, Tag Lane, Ingol, a couple of weeks ago.
The pupils, aged between 11 and 16, were vying to impress scouts from the Preston Schools' Athletics Association, who used the races to select their squad for the Lancashire Schools Cross Country Championships.
Year seven girls and boys ran two and a half kilometres.
The year eight and nines ran three and a half, while year 10 and 11s completed four and a half.
There were individual races, as well as team events in which 11 schools competed. Our Lady's RC School, Ashton High School, and Broughton County High each won the other team awards. RUNNING: The boys race off the line WINNER: first girl home Dannielle McCann, 14, of Fulwood High School Above
