THE Taliban has captured a key opposition leader in Afghanistan, it was claimed today.
Former Mujahideen commander Abdul Haq, who fought against the Russian invasion of Afghanistan, is understood to have been sounding out "moderate" Taliban soldiers.
He's thought to have discussed setting up a new regime once the Taliban has been toppled from power.
Taliban troops claimed they captured Haq in the eastern province of Logar, but there is no independent confirmation of the reports.
