A SUPERB hat trick from Jordan Hamilton helped Backburn Under 13s to a comfortable 3-0 victory against Barnsley in their challenge match at Dorothy Hyman Sports Centre, last week.
Hamilton gave his side the lead in the 22nd minute and quickly added his second two minutes later to give his side a comfortable 2-0 lead at the break.
The Blackburn youngsters continued to have the better of the early exchanges at the start of the second half and they were rewarded when Hamilton fired home his thrid on 51 minutes to give the Lancastrians a convincing victory.
Blackburn Under 12s had to settle for a 3-3 draw in their challenge match against Barnsley's younger representative side.
Blackburn started the brighter and took the lead on 15 minutes with a goal from Anderson.
But Barnsley hit back with goals from Howe and Walker to take a slender 2-1 lead at the break.
Blackburn had the better of the early play after half time and quickly drew level through Kilsey just five minutes after the restart.
Barnsley restored their slender advantage 10 minutes later with a Mauder effort but Blackburn claimed a share of the spoils when Kilsey grabbed his second of the match to earn a creditable 3-3 draw.
Blackburn Under 15s and Under 14s were disappointed when their games against Bradford were cancelled at the last minute due to waterlogged pitches.
The Under 14s and Under 15s will be hoping for better fortunes this weekend when they take on Barnsley tomorrow in a couple of challenge matches at Pleasington (10.30am).
