BLACKPOOL South residents justifiably question whether MP Gordon Marsden is able to fully represent all constituents while also absorbed in his other more demanding job as Parliamentary Private Secretary to the Lord Chancellor enabling only very rare visits to Blackpool on publicity stunts and incidental occasions seeing a few residents.
The question also arises as to how Mr Marsden obtained this very lucrative post when only a layman and not a professional lawyer.
South Shore residents writing to his London base are extremely lucky if they get a reply from him and Blackpool South Labour Party appears to be operating a blacklist of constituents writing to this MP who are not Labour Party supporters.
An MP is supposed to dutifully represent constituents on issues of major concern, particularly effecting societies most vulnerable and unrepresented and not clouded by bigotry and animosity.
