ELDERLY and disabled people in Pendle will be treated to a feast of fun and good food at this year's Bit of a Do event at Colne Municipal Hall.
Entertainment will be in the form of an old-time music revue and will feature international singer Mitchell Armstrong and female singer Natalie Cleverley -- both of whom are currently touring theatres around the country with 'West End Showstoppers' -- and children from Lord Street School. Master of ceremonies is comedian Tim Pope who will play Widow Twankey in Aladdin -- this year's panto at the Municipal Hall.
The Mayor's Bit of a Do is an annual event with proceeds from the event, including a raffle, going to the Mayoress' charity, the Special Baby Care Unit at Burnley General Hospital. The event will run from 11.30am to 4pm each day from Monday, November 26 to Friday, November 30.
A two-course lunch will be served and free transport from designated pick-up points is available. For full details and for tickets, £5 each, call Sheila Finch on 661101.
