A BREAKFAST club and youth club are just two of the groups illustrating how extra funding helped them, as part of a community exhibition in Blackburn next week.
More than 30 groups from across the Blackburn with Darwen area have received a share of £50,000 from the local Primary Care Trust's community health development project.
Now in its second year, the project is funded through the council's single regeneration budget, and aims to meet the health needs of residents in target areas, including Audley, Whitebirk, Accrington Road, Shadsworth and central Blackburn.
Organisers want to encourage more local groups to bid for a share of next year's, by seeing how projects have already been helped.
Organisers are hoping for a good turn out, after last year's exhibition, the first of its kind, attracted some 100 people.
This year's will be held at the Jan's Conference Centre in Blackburn on Wednesday, November 7, between 2pm and 6pm.
