BLACKBURN Hawks are looking to continue their good fortune when they face the highly-rated Billlingham Eagles at home in the English Ice Hockey League tomorrow night.
The Hawks are on top form, having played five games unbeaten, and winning their last four games on the trot, including a huge 7-4 win over arch rivals Altrincham last week.
This can only make team coach Bobby Haig even more confident. "We recently beat Billingham at home 5-4 in the English Cup, and we can do it again," he said. "We haven't lost in the last five games and I'm sure we will can carry on our winning streak."
Haig was missing from training this week due to a case of the flu, but insists he will be fit for this Sunday's game.
And the return of Michael Brunton after recovering from a knee muscle injury can only be good news. The only player missing is Mark Gabbitas who is suspended for three games.
"We have almost a full squad this week so we are in a very strong position," added Haig. "And since the addition of Craig Sharman who rejoined us three weeks ago after a brief spell at Altrincham we have been stronger still. I am very optimistic."
The Arena doors are open at 5.15pm tomorrow night for the 6 o'clock clash against the Billingham Eagles.
