WHY do some shopkeepers sell fireworks to underage children knowing that they are going to misuse them? Don't they realise the damage and upset they cause or is it that as long as the money comes in they don't care who brings it?
Year after year we go through the worry of children playing out safely because some idiots are throwing fireworks at them? Are the pets safe?
I think we may lose our family pet this year because of silly people with fireworks. She is old and can't cope.
As a child I remember going to organised bonfires where nobody got near to danger. Parents don't seem to worry if their children are playing with fireworks but they are first to shout if their child gets burnt.
Thank God for firemen and paramedics who risk their lives to help idiots who play with things that once lit they have no control over.
Shopkeepers, stop selling to underage children. Parents be more vigilant to what your children are up to, and if you have an elderly neighbour check they are all right as someone could have scared them to death.
Keep loved ones, pets and yourselves safe this year. Be aware.
