STAFF and volunteers at Darwen's Help the Aged shop are busy preparing for their annual Christmas partywear event on Saturday.
Staff have been saving suitable donated stock for the event which starts at 2pm.
Shop manager Pat Leaver said: "We always hold this event every year, it is very popular with customers.
"We've got some wonderful outfits that are perfect for the festive season.
"At the prices we charge, it's worth buying a couple of outfits to have a choice when going out to that special occasion, and even if they're only worn a couple of times, they're still a bargain."
Profits from the sale will be used to help older people live more independent lives within their own homes by providing special services.
Two such services are Seniorline, which gives free advice to older people and their families, and Seniorlink, a 24-hour care service in which vulnerable older people can telephone if feeling poorly, frightened or lonely.
Further information can be contacted from Pat on 01254 701871.
