ACCIDENT victim eight-year-old Chloe Duxbury is making a good recovery in hospital.
Chloe of Church Street, Newchurch, suffered serious head injuries when she was involved in an accident with a delivery van near to her home.
A spokesperson for Pendlebury Children's Hospital, Manchester, said today: "Chloe is doing very well."
The little girl is now out of intensive care and on one of the wards.
Her parents, Paul and Linda, have been with her at the hospital since the accident on Saturday.
Her two young brothers, Jamie and Kai, are being looked after by other members of the family.
All three children attend Newchurch CE Primary School where prayers were said for her at yesterday's mid morning assembly.
The accident involved a Tesco delivery van driven by Paul Nightingale, 36, of Clifton Avenue, Accrington.
Police have appealed for witnesses to the accident.
