VOLUNTEERS are wanted to join a project in which older people lend a helping hand to the younger generation.
Age Concern urgently want to hear from Burnley people aged 50 or over, who can spare half a day a week to help with their Trans Age Action project. Christine Bank at Age Concern Lancashire said: "We know of several children who need support. We want people who can read stories to toddlers, help teenage mums learn baby massage or teach bike maintenance to pre-teen lads."
Age Concern Burnley Project is based at offices in Keirby Walk. Christine added: "We ask our volunteers to support youngsters who need that extra bit of attention. All our volunteers are supported and advised by professionals." For details call Christine on 01282 427222.
