A MAN was due to appear in court charged with causing death by dangerous driving following the death of a pensioner on Monday night.
Feroz Razik Sullan, 20, of Shear Brow, Blackburn, is also charged with failing to stop and report an accident, after the incident, which occurred at Copy Nook in Audley at 8.50pm on Monday.
Terrance Brennan, 67, of Audley, Blackburn, was hit as he crossed a traffic-light controlled crossing at the junction of Higher Audley Street and Copy Nook. The traffic lights were on green. Mr Sullan was due to appear before Blackburn Magistrates today.
The car involved in the incident, a BMW 3 Series, was found late on Monday night with its windscreen smashed in the Brookhouse area of Blackburn.
